Placed behind the Cottage Orne and above the chickens sit four bee hives, tended to by Caroline Weiland and local bee keeper Donald Muldie. Belcombe’s first batch of honey was produced after the August harvesting filling 72 pots. The Belcombe bees travel up to three miles and are a great addition to the garden, pollinating flowers in the walled and cutting garden. Belcombe honey has a wonderful flavour which is influenced by the flowers that are grown here.
