Belcombe is brought to life by the seasonal flowers and foliage grown on the estate. The Walled Garden and Cutting Garden in particular provide a rainbow of beautiful blooms all year round.
The four acres of landscaped gardens include lawns, an ornamental pond, box and yew topiary and fine specimen trees; some as old as 350 years.
The Cutting Garden
A passion for plants is what brought Paul Weiland to create The Cutting Garden at Belcombe. Situated above the Walled Garden, it’s very much a working garden, full of hundreds of seasonal flowers designed to ensure the vases in the house are always full with fresh blooms. In time, those who get married at Belcombe will have the option of choosing seasonal flowers from the Cutting Garden for their special day.
Our Gardeners
The gardens and flower arrangements are designed by our in-house gardening team who have worked at Belcombe for many years. Their experience as gardeners, working with plants in their natural setting, strongly influences their work at Belcombe. From the selection of the species to the planting in the walled garden to the designs of the unique floral installations that fill the house throughout the year, the team are constantly evolving and creating new innovative ways to showcase the beauty they have nurtured. The team visualise their floristry as bringing the outside in, embracing the characteristics of each flower or seed head or branch that they use; celebrating its natural form and the beauty of its detail.
